Suburb Guide

Alexandria

Alexandria is an inner-city suburb that is about four kilometres to the CBD. The suburb has great transport links and is only a short walk to Green Square and Erskineville train stations. Centrally located to the airport and within walking distance to great cafes, restaurants and pubs. You'll find the city's savvier food-lovers gathered at the café-bakery-urban farm that is the Grounds of Alexandria and various other cafes in the area. The suburb has a nice blend of warehouses, residential high rise and low-density units as well as heritage terrace houses. Small neighbourhood parks and playgrounds dot the region and Moore Park in the East and Sydney Park on the Western side provide acreage, it is surprisingly green considering the proximity to the city.
